Effective Date: August 22, 2026 • Last Updated: August 22, 2026
1. Purpose
This Cookie and Tracking Technologies Policy explains how Millionaires Tax Consultants (“MTC,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) may use cookies, pixels, tags, scripts, local storage, SDKs, analytics tools, session technologies, and similar technologies when you visit an MTC website or interact with an MTC digital property.
This Policy should be read together with the MTC Privacy Policy.
2. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small data files placed on a browser or device.
They may allow a website to:
- Remember preferences
- Maintain a session
- Authenticate a user
- Protect against fraud
- Measure website performance
- Understand website traffic
- Remember marketing attribution
- Deliver relevant communications
- Support chat functionality
- Improve website functionality
Other technologies may perform functions similar to cookies.
3. Categories of Technologies
MTC may use the following categories.
A. Strictly Necessary Technologies
These technologies may be required for:
- Website operation
- Security
- Authentication
- Session management
- Form submission
- Secure portal access
- Shopping-cart functionality
- Payment functionality
- Fraud prevention
These technologies generally cannot be disabled through a standard cookie-preference center without affecting website functionality.
B. Functional Technologies
These technologies may remember:
- Language
- Form preferences
- User selections
- Previously selected settings
- Scheduling preferences
- Other functionality choices
C. Analytics Technologies
Analytics technologies may help MTC understand:
- Number of visitors
- Pages viewed
- Traffic sources
- Website performance
- Conversion activity
- General geographic information
- Device/browser information
- User interactions
Analytics information may be aggregated or associated with identifiers depending upon the technology configured.
D. Marketing and Advertising Technologies
Where enabled, marketing technologies may help MTC:
- Measure advertising effectiveness
- Track campaign attribution
- Understand which advertisements produce inquiries
- Limit repetitive advertisements
- Measure conversions
- Build audiences where legally permitted
MTC will configure these technologies in accordance with applicable consent requirements.
E. Communication and Chat Technologies
MTC may use technologies supporting:
- Website chat
- Lead intake
- Appointment scheduling
- Customer support
- SMS enrollment
- Communication preferences
4. Third-Party Technologies
MTC's technology ecosystem may include third-party services for:
- CRM
- Website hosting
- Secure client portals
- Tax preparation
- Forms
- Scheduling
- E-signature
- Payments
- Communications
- Analytics
- Advertising
- AI
- Cloud services
MTC's technology stack includes GoHighLevel/LeadConnector, TaxDome, JotForm, FastPayDirect, and related integrations. See Section 16 for the current technology inventory.
5. Cookie Preference Center
Where legally required or technically appropriate, MTC may provide a cookie-preference center allowing visitors to:
- Accept optional technologies
- Reject optional technologies
- Modify preferences
- View categories
- Revisit preferences
A visitor's choice should be stored for the period reasonably necessary to remember that choice.
6. Browser Controls
Most browsers allow you to:
- Delete cookies
- Block cookies
- Block third-party cookies
- Receive cookie warnings
- Clear browsing data
Disabling certain technologies may cause parts of the website to stop functioning properly.
7. Do-Not-Track
Browser “Do Not Track” signals may not be recognized consistently across all browsers and technologies.
MTC will evaluate applicable universal opt-out signals and state-specific requirements as its website technology is configured.
8. Pixels and Tags
MTC may use pixels, tags, scripts, SDKs, or similar technologies to understand website activity and advertising performance.
These technologies may transmit information such as:
- Browser/device information
- Page viewed
- Referring URL
- Event information
- Approximate location
- Advertising identifiers
- Cookie identifiers
- Conversion information
MTC will not intentionally place full Social Security numbers, complete tax returns, bank credentials, or other restricted taxpayer information into ordinary advertising pixels or marketing analytics systems.
9. Taxpayer Information and Tracking Technologies
MTC's secure tax environment must remain separate from ordinary website analytics and advertising infrastructure.
MTC should not configure advertising pixels or general analytics tools to receive:
- Full SSNs
- Tax returns
- Bank account numbers
- Driver's-license numbers
- Identity documents
- Taxpayer login credentials
- Authentication codes
- Unredacted tax notices
- Other restricted taxpayer information
MTC's internal system-design requirements specifically call for sensitive tax information to remain outside broad CRM fields and general systems.
10. Consent
Where applicable law requires consent before using nonessential cookies or tracking technologies, MTC will request consent before activating those technologies.
Consent for cookies is separate from:
- Tax-return consent
- SMS consent
- Email marketing consent
- E-sign consent
- Professional-service engagement consent
- IRC §7216 consent
- GLBA privacy notice acknowledgment
One consent should not be represented as satisfying another legal requirement.
11. Marketing Cookies and SMS Consent
Cookies and SMS consent are separate technologies and separate legal processes.
A visitor clicking a cookie banner does not automatically consent to receive marketing text messages.
Likewise, consenting to receive MTC text messages does not automatically authorize optional website tracking technologies.
12. Social Media Technologies
MTC websites may contain links, buttons, embedded content, or tracking technologies associated with social-media platforms.
When you interact with those technologies, the applicable social-media provider may collect information under its own privacy policy.
13. Analytics Data Retention
Analytics information may be retained according to the configuration of the applicable analytics provider, MTC's business requirements, and applicable law.
MTC should periodically review analytics retention settings and disable unnecessary data collection.
14. Security
Cookie and tracking systems may create security and privacy risks if improperly configured.
MTC should periodically review:
- Cookies
- Tags
- Pixels
- Scripts
- Third-party integrations
- Vendor permissions
- Data destinations
- Data retention
- Access rights
- Consent logs
15. Vendor Changes
MTC may add, remove, replace, or modify technology providers.
Where a change materially affects privacy rights or consent obligations, MTC may update this Policy and/or its cookie-preference mechanism.
